How to apply a screen protector without bubbles

Most bubbles come from dust, poor alignment or working too quickly. A clean space and fixed order greatly improve the result.

In this guide
  1. Prepare the space
  2. Remove all dust
  3. Align first, then lower
  4. Deal with bubbles

Prepare the space

Work on a clean, stable surface with good lighting. Wash and dry your hands and arrange every tool before starting.

Remove all dust

Use the cleaning wipe and dry with microfibre. Lift the last particles with the dust sticker without touching the display again.

Align first, then lower

Use the speaker, edges and camera as reference points. Hold the glass by its sides and let it bond slowly from one end.

Deal with bubbles

Push ordinary air towards the nearest edge with a soft cloth. A persistent dot is probably dust; lift only that local area carefully.

Frequently asked questions

How long do small bubbles take to disappear?

Very small air patches may reduce within a day; bubbles caused by dust usually remain.

Should I remove the case first?

Yes. Install the glass first, then check that the case does not press against any edge.
