Combining a case and screen protector: what to check
Prevent lifted edges and choose a case and screen protector that work together.
Good protection works as one system. A protector that is too wide can be pushed up by the case, while too much space leaves an exposed strip.
Case-friendly or full cover
A case-friendly protector intentionally leaves a small edge and fits most cases. Full-cover glass protects more of the display but requires a precise combination.
Check the raised edges
A case with raised screen and camera edges helps on flat surfaces. Its rim should not put pressure on the protector.
Install the glass before the case
Clean and dry the display, align the protector and push out air. Fit the case afterwards and inspect all four corners.
Test after installation
Swipe along the edges, test touch response and check for dust. If a corner lifts, do not force it down; check alignment first.
Frequently asked questions
Does every case work with privacy glass?
Usually, if the glass is case friendly. Always check the clearance around the edge.
Does a protector prevent all impact damage?
